APPLICATION OF INTEGRAL APPROXIMATION TO MULTIMODAL FUNCTIONS
The article proposes the method of integral approximation as an effective tool for simplifying the relief of complex functions arising in numerical optimization problems. Traditional optimization methods often face difficulties when working with functions that have a high degree of non-smoothness or a large number of local extremes. Integral approximation offers a solution by replacing the original function with a smoother integral version of it. The article presents the results of numerical experiments confirming the effectiveness of the proposed method on a set of test multimodal functions. In conclusion, the authors discuss the prospects for further development of the method and its potential application in various areas that require effective optimization of complex functions.
